I was trolling the internet for Ilana Kohn (one of my favorite designers), and came across STATURE which is is now one of my new favorite sites. Co-founded by Avani Agarwal and Camille Moroz, it’s a very curated online boutique for the vertically challenged! They carry tons of the best indie designers and each piece is picked for smaller frames. And, for those of you with tiny feet (not me) they also offer VERY cute shoes in sizes 35 and 36. They even have some limited edition collaborations for special styles for shorties. Their about page totally cracked me up when I read “We’re ten feet tall (combined)”.
I’m also on the smaller side, so here are a few tips for dressing when you are petite:
- Try a monochrome look – wearing all one color can help elongate your appearance, and it looks cool
- Watch out for accessories that are too large – I’m often guilty of using large bags – but it’s easy to look like you are carrying an overnight bag. If in doubt – take a photo of yourself and you’ll be able to see if your accessories are overwhelming your frame.
- Try high waisted jeans – this will accentuate your waistline, and will make your legs look long. Plus they have that 70’s feel that I always love.
I’m loving this Rachel Comey Oust Top in Red Foam.
These Carleen Jeans, in this amazing shade of dusty red.
And, I’ve really been wanting a pair of tortoise style earrings – so these are pretty cool.
